The first project that I did was putting color names. I typed in the hex code. 255 is the highest number that you can reach out of the three primary colors. (Red, Green, and Blue.) For the first one to get the apple shape I used a free-use picture of an apple and used the pen tool to trace it. The next one was a little more in detailed. I used Adobe Color to make a five color palette from 4 different categories. The categories being analogous, monochromatic, triad, and complementary. To create the circles I used the ellipse tool in Gravit. I also followed the C.R.A.P. design rules for both artwork as well. Color namescolor schemes

Typography is the visual looks of a word. Typography is basically a word that matches a font, and it is very important because it sends the message through better. Following CRAP, (contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity) the message you would want to portray will be understood and shown better. "Each font has a personality and purpose." A font has an image that matches words. For example, times new roman is a font used for essays. However, fonts such as comic sans is used for comics. There are five different fonts. Serif, Sans Serif, Monospaced, Script/Handwritten, Display. Serif is where in the bottom of the letter there are feet. Serif is usually used in a block of text, or in print. Sans serif does not have feet. Sans serif is used headlines, and titles, and smaller block of texts, it is also used in the web. Monospaced is where each letter takes the same amount of space. Monospaced is used for coding, and it isn't used for large block of texts. Script or handwritten is basically cursive. This is very good for logos, large headlines, and details. Display fonts are good to catch attentions. Display isn't really used, but it is good for catching attention. However, the popularity comes and goes. Word portraitsIn this I wrote 20 words, in 10 different fonts. The one on the left matches the font well, however, the one on the right does not. On top of the words on the right are the font names. I also followed the CRAP principle and made sure the words were aligned, and the design is also repetitive. The contrast (blue background and black fonts) work well. There is good proximity between the words as well. I learned many different techniques with the pen tool. Firstly, I learned about the option key where I can make curved lines. I also used the pen tool to briefly outline the shapes and use the subselect tool to make the curve lines after. Summarizing my final summative, the starbucks and the hippo was inspired by a photo I saw of the avocado and the hippo. I though the hippo looked like a true masterpiece and at that time my hungry self wanted to drink starbucks. Then I remembered the logo in the starbucks cup and decided to replace it with the hippo. I wanted to put hoppang man (my childhood) but my technology teacher didn't approve. :c Make sure to search hoppang man in google. :D This picture is very meaningful to me because when I was in third grade I went to a resort in New Caledonia. New Caledonia was one of the most boring horrible resort I've ever gone too. I was very bored and I was literally eight and literally sent me to a kids club and I was highly offended. Also, it took my four hours from the airport to the resort which resulted in me sleeping. I was really tired from the plane ride so that was very sad. Then, the resort has a misinterpretation so they didn't bring the car to the airport so we had to get a taxi. However, the taxi driver was very nice! :D The day before we were leaving some dude thought it was a smart idea to smoke a cigarette and just throw it on the ground. Then three cabins started burning. At first my clueless brain didn't know what was going on until my mom started panicking telling me to pack my bag. My dad said not to worry because we were safe due to the direction of the wind. (my dad was correct) So he spent his time taking a video of the fire. No one ended up dying or getting injured. It was a very interesting vacation. In Gravit I learned various different techniques including merging multiple shapes to create a new one, and being able to change how round, points, e.t.c. shapes can have. In this lesson I learned some keyboard shortcuts, such as command shift up, command shift down, command up, and command down. These are keyboard shortcuts to layer shapes the order you want to. Command G is the shortcut to group the shapes. Finally, in Gravit when you click or click on all the shapes, on the right side there are buttons to align the shapes in different ways. In this project I learned multiple ways to create borders. I also learned how to create dashes in different forms. Changing the opacity, the size of the border, using the 'fill' button to change the color of the rectangle, and I also learned how to go to libraries and choose different types of shapes. I have learned to change colors and make borders. Though it took some time I figured out how to make paths, the keyboard shortcuts, e.t.c. The pointer tool's keyboard shortcut is v, and the subselect tool's keyboard shortcut is d. I also made shapes using the shape tool. Through this I have learned how to create a page in Gravit. I changed the colors, font, and text size. I have also learned about pixels and mm (millimeters). I was able to access Gravit.io pro because I had a coupon code. It is easy to sign in using your google account. When you get pro you have much more access, so getting pro is very useful. As you can see from the picture below I have made a chocolate chip cookie. On the side there are frames to represent as if this is a picture or a drawing of a chocolate chip cookie. Making this I have learned a lot of new information. Such as computer programming. Out of this experience I have learned new codes. The codes I used for the code were these. ellipse(x,y,w,h). This is the code you use when you want t make a circle. rect(x,y,w,h). As you can see from the first word this is the code you use when you make a rectangle. This helped me learn a lot about coding and hopefully times goes by I will be able to make much more complex drawings. If you want to try this out too, then click the link below This Link //Background
background(219, 206, 206); //Frame fill(79, 62, 50); rect(1,1,30,397); rect(1,368,397,30); rect(368,1,30,397); rect(1,1,397,30); //The Cookie fill(173, 145, 88); ellipse(200,200,300,300); //Chocolate Chip fill(87, 66, 50); ellipse(135,130,40,40); ellipse(270,160,40,40); ellipse(210,90,40,40); ellipse(200,200,40,40); ellipse(110,210,40,40); ellipse(290,230,40,40); ellipse(243,280,40,40); ellipse(155,290,40,40); |
